Hi :) , I was wondering if anyone could help me out here by giving me some information on my zodiac combination, it’s a pretty confusing mix :P . My sun is in Taurus, with a Gemini moon and Gemini rising. Can anyone tell me abit about it? And if anyone else would like to share there weird combinations please do.

* Well, this combo is not so weird. Everybody is different, and no one is all one thing, that would be boring. Because you have Gemini rising, does that mean your Moon is in the first and Sun in Taurus is in the 12th house? The Sun is a stable, hard working, practical person. You are good natured, calm and a good listener. This moderates the talkative, flighty Gemini Moon and rising. It calms down the manic side of Gemini, while Gemini traits will get the Taurus going and moving rather than waiting for life to come to you. Depending on where the other planets are; such as Venus, this is actually a good combo; not so easy, but it balances you more than you would have been if they were not together.

I have a 5 HP Tohatsu on my 9 1/2 foot Nordik(basically a zodiac) When I open up the throttle, the bow raises way up and the boat plows alot of water. I have to sit up in the bow where I can’t reach the tiller handle in order to get the boat on a plane, but when it gets up I have to move to the back again or else the back end raises too high and I lose speed. Now I would rather not be moving around on a tiny boat when it is zooming at fast speeds. Can I fashion trim tabs of some sort to help the boat get on a plane? Could it be as simple as adjusting the angle of the motor?
Well, the motor was given to me. Can’t really afford a new motor. Oh well, I never caught a fish going faster than 5 mph anyway :P

Oh btw, the boat has an inflatable floor.

it could be as simple as adjusting the angle………move the set pin so that the prop is further forwards and see what that does

there are also winglets sold…….name I know is Dol_Fin..that bolt on the lower unit and help plane out faster……some engine manufacturers say this voids the warranty, so check first……

and you didn’t say if the boat was a RIB…if so I’m shocked it would plane with a 5!….and surprise it would plane with a wood floorboard..

Depends on how complex you want your horoscope to be. If you just want it to display a different message depending on the month, then a switch/case is ideal. I can’t remember if Javascript allows for string literals in a case statement. If it doesn’t then you’ll have to map the months to integers first.

If you want it to have daily messages, or perhaps have an algorithmic way to select a message and maybe tweak the meaning then you’ll need something more complex than a switch/case as it would be quite tedious to manually write out 365 possible outputs.

For example, say you have 36 possible messages, with “You will not have good luck today.” being being the 23rd message. Lets then say that the date is August 21st 2010. Then you could add 8 + 21 + 2010 to get 2039. Then do modulus 36 to get 23, meaning that the 23rd message will be displayed. To make it more fun you could add that if the day is odd (21 is odd in this case) that all instances of ‘not ‘ will be removed. So now the output reads “You will have good luck today.” From there you can add whatever creative twists you want. Maybe on years evenly divisible by 6 all the instances of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are interchanged?
